Arrangements for the Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.

The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19th September at 1100hrs BST.

It is hoped that many cathedrals will live stream the service for the general public to watch across the country.

The congregation will also include members of foreign Royal Families, the Prime Minister, members of HM Government and Opposition, Heads of State and representatives of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s patronages.

The funeral will be conducted by The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle Dean of Westminster. The sermon will be preached by The Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, Primate of All England and Metropolitan.

The Choirs of Westminster Abbey and His Majesty’s Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace will perform under the direction of James O’Donnell, the Abbey’s Organist and Master of the Choristers.

Prior to the State Funeral, The Queen will Lie-in-State in Westminster Hall for four days, to allow the public to pay their respects.

Following the State Funeral, the Coffin will travel in Procession from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch.

From Wellington Arch, the Coffin will travel to Windsor and once there, the State Hearse will travel in Procession to St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle via the Long Walk.

A Committal Service will then take place in St George’s Chapel.
