Come on you Bantams – Half Time Carols this Saturday

Bradford Cathedral Choir will sing carols during half-time at the Bradford City vs Rochdale football match this Saturday (17 December).

It is the first time the choir has sung at a Bradford City match – and the first time some of them have even been to the football!

It’s the last game before Christmas and the home team are taking on Rochdale at the Valley Parade ground.

The Choir will sing O Little Town of Bethlehem and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Alexander Berry, Director of Music at Bradford Cathedral said:

“This is a really exciting opportunity for the Cathedral Choir to cheer on the Bantams as they play Rochdale, and to spread some Christmas cheer to fans.

“For many of our choristers – (and several staff!) – this will be their first time at a football game, which makes it doubly exciting.”

A Bradford City AFC spokesperson said:

“We are looking forward to welcoming our friends at Bradford Cathedral to the University of Bradford Stadium this weekend, as their choir aim to bring the festive cheer to Valley Parade.

“It is sure to be a chilly afternoon but hopefully the Cathedral Choir can get everyone into the Christmas spirit in our final game before Christmas.”
