His Museum of the Moon has been stunning visitor across the UK (Wells, Chichester, Durham and many more) now Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation will be arriving at Rochester Cathedral in May 2022.

You may well have already seen his Museum of the Moon, tens of thousands of you have but Gaia brings something new.

Measuring seven metres in diameter, Gaia features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface. The artwork provides the opportunity to see our planet on this scale, floating in three-dimensions.

A specially made surround-sound composition by BAFTA award winning Composer Dan Jones is played alongside the sculpture. In Greek Mythology Gaia is the personification of the Earth.

Museum of the Moon saw the highest ever visitor numbers to Rochester Cathedral with 120,000 people visiting in just 22 days.
