Following hugely successful visits to Bath Abbey, Wells Cathedral, Durham Cathedral, Chichester Cathedral, Bristol Cathedral and Rochester Cathedral the Museum of the Moon arrives in Lincoln Cathedral in
Come and experience the majesty of the moon, suspended beneath the central tower of Lincoln Cathedral.
Lincoln Cathedral will provide a spectacular backdrop for the stunning installation which measures seven metres in diameter and features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface.
Luke Jerram’s ‘Museum of the Moon’ has been seen by many thousands of people in venues all over the globe and Lincoln are delighted that the cathedral will play host to such a popular art installation.
Visit the moon as part of your admission fee and look out for details of more special events to come, including talks, concerts and educational activities.
The Museum on the Moon is also appearing at Exeter Cathedral – more here.
