Guildford Cathedral will be staging five days of Illuminations, to round off the celebrations of their 60th Anniversary.
Sound and light art is projected onto the internal architectural features of transforming and enveloping the inside space. Visitors will stand in the Nave and view the spectacular light and sound show which is digitally and artistically created by artistic collaboration ‘Luxmuralis’. Viewers are immersed in the sound they hear and will be enveloped in the light art that is all around them in the sacred space.
Firstly, the artwork features a journey through space, light and time, and then explores ’Life’ which is designed to enable people to explore and reflect upon life on today’s planet that occurs in a single 24-hour period.
