Taking place on the Lower Green in the Cathedral Close, choristers aged 8 to 13 robed up in their cassocks before racing down the Green with pancakes made by the catering team at RAF Marham. The eventual winner was Head Chorister Cameron Murphy Lennox.
Other races included the Cathedral Music Department and Works Team. At the end of the races, each competitor was rewarded for their effort with a freshly prepared pancake. The popular event started in 2005 by the former Dean of Norwich, The Very Rev’d Graham Smith, and has become a long standing Shrove Tuesday tradition ever since.
