Time by Luxmuralis is coming to Lincoln Cathedral
Visitors will be guided through a series of installations that show humans through different eras, exploring theories of relativity, and the text of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine.
Visitors will find themselves down wormholes, inside the intricate workings of clocks, and experience a dramatic narrative that spans from the present day back to the very beginning of everything.
The finale in the Cathedral’s nave will take spectators on a voyage through the timeline of life including the creation of our planet.
Samantha Mellows, Director of Visitor Experience and Enterprise at Lincoln Cathedral said,
“The theme of time is one that is familiar to us all as we balance work, family life, time for ourselves and other daily commitments.
“Time by Luxmuralis is an opportunity to take a step back from your usual routine, to stop thinking about the minutes and hours, and for a short period to explore the whole timeline of our planet, and far beyond.
“We’ve had such amazing feedback from people that have come to the previous Luxmuralis shows. For many people it is the first time they have visited the Cathedral, and it is wonderful to be able to offer them such an unforgettable experience where they can see the Cathedral brought to life in a completely different way.”
Time by Luxmuralis will run from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 February 2025, with several performances per evening. Booking is essential and tickets are now available from the Cathedral’s website – www.lincolncathedral.com
