Gloucester Cathedral’s Summer Challenge
26th August 2021
Gloucester Cathedral has welcomed over 3000 children through its doors since launching its Summer Challenge Family Trail just three weeks ago.
Gloucester Cathedral’s Summer Challenge attracts thousands in just three weeks!
The Cathedral’s Summer Challenge offers 19 activities to choose from including hunting for medieval stonemasons’ marks in the Nave, dressing up as a Cathedral character (children and adults) in the Tribune Gallery or sending a secret message through the mysterious Whispering Gallery.
Each activity earns the participant a sticker while nine completed challenges result in a gold medal!
Lorna Giles, Head of Visitor Experience said
“It’s been wonderful to see so many families having a fantastic time here. The sounds of fun and laughter have filled the Cathedral and after the difficulties of the past year this is exactly what we want to see. The Cathedral has come alive again!”
The Summer Challenge is available until Sunday 5 September.
Full information about the Summer Challenge can be found on the Cathedral website.
Remember to check the Gloucester Cathedral events calendar for the latest opening times before travelling.
