Richard Coles in conversation with Dean Catherine Ogle to discuss his extraordinary life and career – from pop star to parish vicar to award winning novelist and broadcaster.
He was the co-presenter of Radio 4’s Saturday Live for 12 years; a contestant on Strictly when he scored a lamentably low mark for a Paso Doble; and the author of ‘The Madness of Grief’, written after the death of his partner, David Coles.
Richard and Dean Catherine first met when she was the Vicar of Huddersfield and he was sent on placement to her church as part of his Theological College training. Together they will explore how loss and faith have shaped his life and why writing has become so important to him.
His new book, ‘A Death in the Parish’, is the second in his series of crime novels featuring Canon Clement. The first, ‘Murder Before Evensong’, was an instant Sunday Times bestseller. Books are available to purchase at this event and a book signing will take place following the talk.
