Light of Hope is a huge-scale sculptural artwork with neon changing lights, created by Peter Walker. The Star is an illuminated five metre diameter steel piece created to unify and represent hope, suspended high above the cathedral’s nave. It is part of a wide-ranging engagement project which will involve thousands of young people from Hampshire’s schools and community groups creating their own miniature Light of Hope.
It makes for the perfect photo opportunity, but also, a powerful focal point in moments of reflection.
