Celebrate World Heritage Site Day with a variety of events and activities on the Durham World Heritage Site, inspired by the Lindisfarne Gospels, which will be on display in the North East during autumn 2022.
There will be music and drama performances, lectures, family fun, food markets, a celebration marking 950 years of Durham Castle, a ‘Living Library’ where visitors can meet and talk to the significant historical personalities of the World Heritage Site, and a chance to be part of the community response to the Gospels.
