Join us for an evening of spoken word and poetry, celebrating diverse voices of love and compassion from across our city, our region’s heritage and our cathedral’s four remarkable stained-glass windows.

Poetry will be read by our poet-in-residence, Nafeesa Hamid, inspired by the work of Edward Burne-Jones, recently conserved for all to enjoy, alongside some of her wider work. We will also be launching the Tracing Glass podcast – bringing together voices from across the city to reflect on the themes of our windows, in collaboration with We Don’t Settle.

Other contributors will include poetry from Iranian brothers and sisters, Chris Fewings and Lucy Anderson. Lucy will be reading poetry reflecting on the experiences of being a refugee within her own family, and how this has led to her work with refugees.

Refreshments will be provided – please book your free place to help us plan.
