Wakefield Cathedral
Wakefield Cathedral is here to provide everyone, without distinction, the opportunity to encounter God and engage with Christian tradition.
A beating heart in the middle of the city, we are here to support our communities across the diocese, offering worship, wellbeing and wonderment, whilst inviting all to walk alongside us to share in God’s love.
We are home to the tallest spire in the whole of Yorkshire, standing at 247ft tall, and the cathedral is home to a variety of historical and unique artifacts, ranging from our octagonal font dating back to 1661 through to the largest collection of Charles Kempe stained glass in the world.
Whether you are wishing to visit us for a service or for a moment of reflection, for an event or simply popping into our Cathedral Kitchen, we look forward to welcoming you to Wakefield Cathedral in the near future.
