Anna Pitt

Anna Pitt was appointed as Director of Fundraising at Birmingham Cathedral in January 2014 following an 11-year career as a charity fundraiser.  In February 2015, Anna took on the role of Acting Chief Executive, an appointment which was made permanent in August 2015.  During this period, Anna coordinated the Cathedral’s Tercentenary celebrations (including a NLHF funded heritage project), alongside internal refurbishment of the Cathedral.  Anna retains a passion for fundraising whilst leading the lay staff at Birmingham Cathedral through a period of significant restructure and recruitment.  Anna is also a trustee of Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls Charitable Trust.

Anna is Vice Chair of CAFA and a member of the AEC’s Peer Review panel.  Anna is also working alongside National Safeguarding Team colleagues, sitting on the project panel for the IICSA 1&8 recommendations implementation.  Anna joined the AEC Executive in May 2022.
